The Nuclear Family Whilst the nuclear family may be considered an ideal environment for kids to grow up in - today’s kids grow up in many different situations other than the archetypal nuclear family situation. The debate as to the significance and presence of both parents during a child's formative years and the consequences of what effect this has on them during this time is an ongoing one. Whether you are raising children on your own, as part of a male or female partnership or you are a grandparent bringing up kids, they are the future.Your home, whether a nuclear family or otherwise are where your offspring are motivated, learn respect and develop resiliency.
An argument for having a nuclear family is that two parents usually are more supportive than one. It is usual for the male as part of a nuclear family to be the main financial provider and for the female to stay at home and look after the children. However, a small percentage of women are the main earners in a nuclear family situation. Nowadays it is more common for both parents to work. As the social and economic world changes the nuclear family that would have been a prominent and integral part of western society is in decline. As households these days seem to be moving further away from the stereotypical view of the traditional nuclear family; Mothers, Fathers, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Brothers and Sisters, you are all very welcome!.
